» Kansas junior Wally Marciel ('Iolani '06) pitched two scoreless innings of relief in a 6-4 win over Missouri State on Tuesday. Marciel allowed two hits and one walk and struck out two.

» Cal Poly Pomona senior Marcus Makia (Baldwin '05) went 3-for-4 with two doubles and four RBIs to help the Broncos defeat CSU San Bernardino 9-7 in the second game of a doubleheader on Sunday.

» Chico State senior Kevin Seaver (Waiakea '06) went 6-for-10 with a double, three runs and two RBIs as the Wildcats took three of four against Cal State Los Angeles over the weekend. Senior Adam Arakawa (Moanalua '05) went 3-for-6 with a run and an RBI in the final game of the series.

» Cal State Northridge junior Ridge Carpenter (Kalani '07) doubled and drove in two runs in a 3-2 victory over San Diego State on Tuesday.

» Claremont-Mudd-Scripps senior Steve Dannaway (Punahou '06) homered and had two hits in an 8-2 loss to La Verne on Saturday.

» Colorado School of Mines junior Nick Wong (Roosevelt '07) went 2-for-4 with a double and scored a run in a 19-5 loss to Mesa State on Sunday. Third baseman Peter Arakawa (Moanalua '07) singled and scored a run for Mesa State.

» Northwestern sophomore Paul Snieder (Punahou '08) went 8-for-14 with two doubles, two runs and three RBIs in a three-game series against Penn State over the weekend. Snieder also recorded a save by pitching a perfect 11th inning in a 3-2 win on Saturday.

SOFTBALL

» New Mexico State junior Hoku Nohara (Kamehameha '07) went 2-for-4 with a double and freshman Tehani Kaaihue (Kapolei '09) doubled and scored a run in a 6-2 win over Louisiana Tech on Saturday.

» Pacific (Ore.) junior Kelly Nishitomi (Castle '06) went 2-for-4 with two runs scored in a 20-3, five-inning win over Puget Sound on Saturday.

MEN'S VOLLEYBALL

» Stanford senior Kawika Shoji ('Iolani '06) had 70 assists, 11 digs and six kills, and sophomore Brad Lawson ('Iolani '08) chipped in 15 kills in a five-set victory over Pepperdine on Friday. Junior Spencer McLachlin (Punahou '07) added eight kills and sophomore libero Erik Shoji (Punahou '08) had a team-high 16 digs.

» Southern California junior Riley McKibbin (Punahou '07) had 65 assists, 10 digs and four block assists, and freshman Maddison McKibbin (Punahou '09) added 14 digs in a five-set win over Pacific (Calif.) on Friday.

WOMEN'S WATER POLO

» Pacific (Calif.) junior Dara Tawarahara ('Iolani '07) scored two goals and had a steal in a 12-6 loss to UC Irvine on Saturday. Tawarahara also scored a goal in a 6-5 win over Long Beach State on Sunday and is second on the team with 58 goals and five assists this season.

» Occidental (Calif.) junior Karie Nickle (Kamehameha '07) had two goals and five assists, and freshman Nanea Fujiyama (Kamehameha '09) had three field blocks in a 16-12 win over Cal Lutheran yesterday.

» UC San Diego junior Hanalei Crowell (Kamehameha '07) scored a goal in losses against Colorado State and California on Saturday as the Tritons finished 1-3 in the Santa Clara Invitational. Crowell had four goals in a win over Sonoma State and three in a loss to San Jose State.
