Tell Hawaii why and win mom a seat at the 3rd Annual Mother's Day Lunch With the Stars.

Hawaii Pacific Entertainment is accepting written letters for the “;Top Moms of the Year.”; In a 500-word essay, entitled “;Why I Love My Mom,”; write why she should be honored. Deadline is April 30. Submit essays to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).

Each essay winner will receive one complimentary admission to the event on May 9 at the Hawaii Okinawa Center in Waipahu and a bouquet of flowers, and get their photo taken with event celebrities Da Braddahs, Melveen Leed, Jasmine Trias, Sean Na'auao and Kapena.

The lunch menu will include kal bi, mochiko chicken, Chinatown Mahimahi, sushi, kim chee, rice, potato macaroni salad, Chinese vegetable salad, cake and a choice of coffee, tea or fruit punch.

Doors will open at 11 a.m. and lunch will be served at noon.
