Shipyard workers cited for excellence

Seven civilians have been selected as Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard's winners of excellence in federal government awards. They are:

» Susan Wagatsuma: Federal manager/supervisor of the year

» Debra Patterson: Federal employee of the year — trades and crafts

» Edlyn Takahashi: Federal employee of the year — professional, administrative, technical

» Jean Ota: Federal employee of the year — clerical and assistant

» Randy Chang: Outstanding leader

» Joseph Mendonsa: Outstanding mentor

» Paul Mariett: Exceptional community service

The selectees will represent the shipyard at the Honolulu-Pacific Federal Executive Board's annual statewide awards luncheon April 29 at the Sheraton Waikiki Hotel.
