QUESTION: My friend has a very food aggressive dog. How can I train my puppy not to be that way when he's older?

ANSWER: Food aggression is common and can become a serious behavioral issue. Training from a young age is easiest but you also can curb food aggression in older dogs. Try feeding him from your hand until he becomes comfortable with it. You may want to feed your dog with your hand in the dog bowl while he eats. Gently petting your dog while eating encourages good behavior.
