Man shot in face, shoulder by 2 men with shotgun

Police are looking for two men who shot another man in the face at about 1:30 a.m. yesterday at Kalihi Valley Homes.

The man suffered facial and shoulder injuries from shotgun pellets. Paramedics treated his wounds at 2337 Kalaunu St. before he was transported to the hospital in serious condition.

A 21-year-old man refused treatment at the scene.

The first suspect is described as in his late teens to early 20s with a medium build. He was wearing a black long-sleeved shirt and shorts at the time of the shooting.

The second suspect is a juvenile male with a medium build. He was wearing a black long-sleeved shirt and brown shorts.

Anyone with information on the suspects is asked to call police.

Fight at fast-food restaurant leads to suspect's arrest

An 18-year-old man was arrested Sunday after a brawl on Kuhio Avenue in Waikiki.

Police said a 39-year-old man was trying to break up a fight in front of a Jack in the Box restaurant at about 3:05 a.m. when several of the men assaulted him.

The other suspects fled, but officers were able to detain an 18-year-old man. A witness told officers the suspect had repeatedly kicked the older man, who was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Police booked the younger man on suspicion of second-degree assault.

Toddler says 11-year-old sexually assaulted him

An 11-year-old boy was taken into custody after a 3-year-old boy accused him of sexual assault in Wahiawa.

The toddler told his mother about the assault on Friday. Police booked the older boy on suspicion of first-degree sexual assault and released him pending investigation.

Makaha teenager accuses man of sexual assault

Police are looking for a man in his 20s who allegedly sexually assaulted a 14-year-old boy in Makaha.

Police said the boy told police on Thursday that he was attacked by a man he had just met. The man fled and has not been identified or arrested, police said.

Big Isle police seek help in finding computer thief

Big Island police are asking for help finding the thief who stole a laptop computer from a classroom at Kealakehe High School.

Police said the computer, a Toshiba NB200 Mini Notebook valued at $417, was taken from a computer classroom between 2 and 3 p.m. Feb. 9.
