Auto show free for AAA

First Hawaiian International Auto Show attendees who flash their AAA Hawaii membership cards at the VIP desk will get into the show for free on its Member Appreciation Day, noon to 10 p.m. tomorrow.
In addition, the first 150 AAA Hawaii members through the doors will receive a gift bag, said Chris Olvera, acting branch manager.
All show attendees can learn abo ut current AAA Hawaii promotions and general automotive issues, including insurance, at its booth all three days of the event.
AAA Hawaii and the state's Department of Transportation's Walk Wise Hawaii program also will distribute literature on pedestrian safety at the show which runs from tomorrow , through Sunday at the Hawaii Convention Center.

But Fred Diaz, CEO of the company's Ram truck brand, said overall sales, including fleet, are trending about 10 percent below March 2009, when Chrysler spent thousands of dollars per vehicle on rebates and other incentives.
