Driver survives 25-foot plunge
Hawaii County firefighters rescued a woman Saturday after her sport utility vehicle went off a cliff in Pahoa.
The woman's SUV was found overturned at the bottom of a 25-foot cliff at the end of Kahakai Boulevard at about 6 p.m., a Fire Department news release said.
The woman was trapped inside with moderate surf conditions washing into the SUV.
Firefighters and bystanders freed the woman, who sustained only minor cuts.

County puts data on sale of land online
Hawaii County is using the Internet to help sell 724 acres of land near Paauilo worth about $6 million.
A Web site, paauilolandsales.com, has been set up to provide information to prospective bidders on the 15 parcels of land up for auction.
But the auction itself is not online. Bids must be mailed in.
The deadline for the first auction of six parcels is set for March 31, and there will be three more auctions, one each week, until April 14.
Proceeds will be used to help balance the county's operating budget.
The county acquired the land as part of a 1994 tax settlement with bankrupt Hamakua Sugar Co.
The smallest parcel, 12.8 acres, is valued at $216,000. The largest and most valuable is nearly 110 acres and appraised at $615,000.
