UH left out of ALl-WAC Picture
No Hawaii men's or women's basketball players were selected yesterday to the All-Western Athletic Conference teams.
UH senior Roderick Flemings got the closest with an honorable mention. Nevada's Luke Babbitt was men's player of the year. Louisiana Tech's Shanavia Dowdell was the women's player of the year. Utah State's Stew Morrill was named the Don Haskins Coach of the Year, while Fresno State coach Adrian Wiggins was the women's honoree.
The men's first team was Babbitt, Utah State's Jared Quayle and Tai Wesley, New Mexico State's Jahmar Young, and San Jose State's Adrian Oliver.

BYUH going to West Regional
Brigham Young-Hawaii received a bid yesterday to the NCAA Division II West Regional men's basketball tournament.
The Seasiders (19-5, 13-2 PacWest) won't know their opponent until after tonight's game against Hawaii Pacific.
» Brigham Young-Hawaii's Lucas Alves was selected as the PacWest men's basketball player of the week yesterday.
Alves, a forward/center for the Seasiders, averaged 21 points and 6.3 rebounds per game in three road wins.
2 HPU players earn PacWest honors
Hawaii Pacific's Kale Sumner and Caelen O'Meara were picked as the PacWest softball player and pitcher of the week.
Sumner went 8-for-12 with nine runs scored in four games last week.
O'Meara tossed a complete-game 2-1 victory over Grand Canyon and didn't allow an earned run.
HPU stops West Liberty
Hawaii Pacific defeated West Liberty State 6-0 in men's tennis yesterday at Central Oahu Regional Park.
Nikola Petrov, Anton Samuilau and Sebastian Bader all won in singles and doubles for the Sea Warriors.
