The Hawaii women's basketball team received the No. 8 seed in this week's Western Athletic Conference tournament after losing 53-51 at Utah State yesterday.

The Wahine will meet two-time defending league champion and top-seeded Fresno State (25-5, 16-0) at 10 a.m. in Wednesday's quarterfinals at Reno, Nev. UH now heads straight from Logan, Utah, to Reno.
The Aggies (13-16, 5-11) secured the seventh seed on their senior night.
Senior forward Dita Liepkalne scored 13 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead UH. Sophomore forward Breanna Arbuckle pulled down 12 rebounds.
Banna Diop scored a team-high 11 points for USU.
