A Kona man is being held in a Big Island cellblock without bail after being arrested and charged with burglary and threatening three Kona residents with a golf club early Wednesday.
Sonny Cabuag, 20, of Kalaoa was charged yesterday afternoon with four counts of first-degree terroristic threatening and one count each of burglary, unauthorized entry into a dwelling and probation revocation.
Kona patrol officers responded to a report at 1:45 a.m. Wednesday that a man had entered a home in the Kalaoa subdivision in Kona armed with a metal pipelike object and threatened to harm three residents — a 20-year-old woman, a 19-year-old man and a 20-year-old man.
Less than two hours later, police arrested Cabuag outside his home on suspicion of burglary and three counts of terroristic threatening. The female victim also said she been threatened at another location, leading to the fourth terroristic threatening charge and the charge for unauthorized entry into a dwelling.
Cabuag is being without bail on a probation revocation charge pending a court appearance. His bail on the other charges was set at $75,000.
