The Hawaii women's basketball team can rest easy on its trip to Logan, Utah, today.

The Rainbow Wahine sealed a berth to the Western Athletic Conference tournament yesterday when last-place San Jose State lost 83-47 at Fresno State.

Eighth-place UH (10-18, 4-11 WAC) plays at Utah State (4-10) Saturday and can improve its seeding to seventh.

“;We're very, very happy to qualify for the tournament,”; UH coach Dana Takahara-Dias said. “;(Our players) will be excited to hear that we are going to participate in the tourney. That was one of our goals we set forth early in the season, and it's good to get in.”;
