A 19-year-old man was charged as an adult Monday for a series of robberies in 2008, including four in one day, while he was 17 years old.
The Family Court had waived Tyson Liulama's rights as a juvenile in March 2009, and he was charged as an adult, but that waiver was rescinded.
The Family Court again waived his rights Monday, so prosecutors charged him again as an adult on four counts of first-degree robbery and two counts of second-degree robbery.
On Oct. 25, 2008, Liulama and two teens allegedly robbed a Waipahu service station, a Makiki restaurant and two women in Waikiki over a two-hour period. Liulama allegedly served as the getaway driver.
In those crimes, an 18-year-old man allegedly used a knife and demanded money.
In the Waikiki robbery the 18-year-old and a 16-year-old allegedly robbed two women, ages 39 and 36, grabbed their bags and dragged them 20 to 30 feet.
On July 15, 2008, Liulama and another juvenile allegedly robbed two women, ages 19 and 20.
