Hawaii senior forward Roderick Flemings was named the Western Athletic Conference player of the week for his efforts in losses vs. New Mexico State and Cal Poly.
The 6-foot-7 forward had 25 points and 11 rebounds at NMSU last Monday, then erupted for a career-high 39 points in the ESPN BracketBusters defeat to Cal Poly on Saturday.
It was the fourth-highest by a UH player and most by a Rainbow Warrior at the Stan Sheriff Center.
He averaged 32.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 2.5 assists for the week. It is his second such honor this season and third of his career.
UH (9-17, 2-10 WAC) hosts Utah State on Thursday.
