Services Friday for Army general

Funeral services for Gen. Frederick C. Weyand, who oversaw the withdrawal of U.S. forces from South Vietnam and later served as Army chief of staff, will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at Central Union Church.
Inurnment will take place at 3 p.m. Saturday at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific at Punchbowl.
Current Army Chief of Staff Gen. George Casey is expected to be in the islands for the services.
Weyand was 93 when he died Feb. 10 at his Kahala home.
He was born in Arbuckle, Calif. He is survived by wife Mary, son Robert, daughters Carolyn Harley and Nancy Hart, stepsons Bill and Dow Foster, stepdaughters Whitney White and Laurie Foster, brother Robert and five grandchildren.
