Police seek help to nab bank robbery suspects
Police are asking for the public's help in finding a man who robbed the First Hawaiian Bank branch in Kakaako on Tuesday.
This was the same branch, 250 Ward Ave., hit Feb. 11 by a man with a similar physical description.
At about 9:50 a.m. Tuesday, the man entered the bank, approached the teller and demanded money. Police said no weapon was observed. The suspect fled on foot in the mauka direction on Ward Avenue.
He is described as being 6-foot-2 and 175 pounds. Police said the suspect was wearing a white T-shirt, blue denim pants, white sneakers, black face mask and a tan baseball cap.
The description for the male suspect in the Feb. 11 robbery was the same.
Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 955-8300.
Police are also looking for a man who robbed the Pearl City branch of First Hawaiian Bank at Kamehameha Highway and Waimano Home Road on Tuesday afternoon.
It was the third First Hawaiian Bank branch robbed within a week.
The suspect was described as measuring 5 feet 10 inches and weighing 200 pounds, wearing a black tank top, black pants and black shoes, with a gray cap, police said.
