Benefit to assist those hit by disasters
Saigon Garden Restaurant, located at Ala Moana Center's Makai Market food court, will host a fundraiser tomorrow for victims of the Haiti earthquake as well as those affected by local disasters.
From 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., the Vietnamese eatery will donate 50 percent of restaurant proceeds to the American Red Cross to assist with the disaster in Haiti and disasters in Hawaii.
Saigon Garden owner David Giang says, “;This is our opportunity to give back to the community. We want to play a part in helping those affected here in Hawaii and abroad.”;
The eatery offers pho, summer rolls and barbecue plates as well as tapioca desserts.
