The state Department of Health has a reminder for parents of young children: One swine flu shot is not enough.
Children under age 10 should receive two doses of the H1N1 flu vaccine, spaced four weeks apart, for maximum protection, said Dr. Sarah Park, state epidemiologist. That is the recommendation of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control, according to a news release.
For information on where to get vaccinated, call the Aloha United Way help line 211 or see the Web site http://www.flu.hawaii.gov.
