Moanalua topples Farrington

Fourth-ranked Moanalua went on a 12-0 run in the fourth quarter to pull away from host Farrington 60-45 in an Oahu Interscholastic Association Red East boys basketball game last night.

Marcus Monroe scored a game-high 24 points and Josiah Kauhola added 23, including two 3-pointers, to lead Na Menehune.

Jayrfrey Damo scored 15 points for the Governors.

The Trojans bounced back from an upset last Friday to beat the Hurricanes.

The two teams were scoreless in the fourth quarter with Kapolei playing keep-away from Mililani, while trailing by two points. The Hurricanes went for the game-tying shot with 7 seconds to go, but failed to convert.

Jared Milare finished with 11 points for Kapolei, while Hassan Richardson scored seven for Mililani.
