'Iolani pulls away from Mid-Pacific

Led by Kainoa Chu's game-high 17 points, third-ranked 'Iolani pulled away from host Mid-Pacific last night, 57-46 in league play.

The Owls led by three at halftime but after three quarters, the score was tied.

Three other Raiders scored in double figures—Trevyn Tulonghari had 13 points and Jarrett Arakawa and Andrew Skalman had 10 each—as 'Iolani stayed within a game of league leaders Punahou and Kamehameha.

Taylor Crabb hit two 3-pointers in the first quarter on his way to a game-high 11 points and the top-ranked Buffanblu ran away from the Monarchs.

Punahou led 31-13 at halftime and stretched the lead further with a 24-point third quarter.

After defeating top-ranked Punahou the night before, the second-ranked Warriors continued their strong play as they cruised to victory against the host Spartans.

Micah Christenson scored a game-high 15 points and Frank Ho added 11 as Kamehameha led 27-9 at the half.
