WHAT'S IN STORE

Create T-shirt art at workshops

Two wearable-art workshops will be offered at Stir Crazy Designs' Valentine Festival on Feb. 6. Participants will be able to create a sponge-painted shirt, utilizing motifs of hearts, peace signs, horses and butterflies, along with up to three greeting cards.

The painting session will take place from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at 371 Ilimalia Loop in Kailua.

An afternoon session will involve creating a tie-dye T-shirt in red, purple or pink, with a heart design created by using needle and thread in place of the usual rubber bands. The workshop runs from 1 to 2:30 p.m.

Individuals of all ages are welcome, but children under 5 years old must be accompanied by an adult. The cost for both workshops is $17 and includes all materials. Those who bring their own shirts will pay $12. To register, call Wendy Rosen at 220-5691 or e-mail .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).

BEAUTY SPOT

ReVive skin care expert to speak

Hylton Lea, global skin care expert and vice president of the ReVive skin care line, will be at Nordstrom Ala Moana to host a skin care seminar from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday.

ReVive was created by plastic surgeon Dr. Gregory Bays Brown, who grew frustrated with the limits of plastic surgery, which could lift the skin but do nothing to restore skin's youthful glow.

In working with burn victims, he found that EGF (epidermal growth factor) applied to burns and wounds accelerated healing in patients tested, and now incorporates the EGF molecule in ReVive products, used by celebs including Victoria Beckham, Kate Hudson and Tom Cruise.

Call 953-6100 for more information.
