No. 5 Moanalua boys defeat No. 4 Kahuku

Fifth-ranked Moanalua held on to a lead by converting its free throws down the stretch in a 64-58 boys basketball victory over No. 4 Kahuku. The win moved Na Menehune into a tie for first place in OIA Red East.
Na Menehune warmed up in the second quarter, scoring 21 points to open a 30-25 lead at halftime.
Josiah Kauhola scored 21 points, including two 3-pointers, and Marcus Monroe added 11 to lead Moanalua.
Nehoa Akina scored a game-high 31 points and nailed four 3-pointers for Kahuku.

The Governors' defense shut out the Bulldogs in the second quarter and forced two turnovers in the final minutes to ensure the win.
Jeffrey Madarang nailed four 3-pointers and finished with 16 points to lead Farrington.
