Driver in fatal hit-and-run pleads guilty

A man accused of killing a motorcyclist in a hit-and-run crash in Waipahu 13 months ago pleaded guilty yesterday to negligent homicide and other charges.
Siaosi K. Feleunga pleaded guilty to leaving the scene of a fatal accident, second-degree negligent homicide, operating a vehicle with a revoked or suspended driver's license and drunken driving in connection with the Dec. 29, 2008, crash on Farrington Highway that killed Lindsay Kane.
He also pleaded guilty to another count of driving while his license was suspended or revoked, driving without a license, driving without motor vehicle insurance and a current safety inspection certificate, terroristic threatening and contempt of court in two other cases.
Feleunga has 14 other convictions in Honolulu, Kauai and the Big Island, including three DUIs, five counts of third-degree assault, felony assault and other charges.
He will be sentenced in March.
