Fixed-gear bike fans to ride around Oahu

Local bicycle collective Aloha Fixed is calling on all “;fixies”; on Oahu to join in an “;Island Century Ride”; tomorrow around Oahu.

If you own a fixed-gear bike and have the stamina to pedal from Kaimuki to Haleiwa—and back—over the course of a full day, head to Coffee Talk bright and early tomorrow morning to rendezvous with other participants. A support vehicle, sponsored by local bike shop The Kickstand, will be on hand in case of trouble.

Don't own a bike? The Manifest in Chinatown is the spot to be at for a post-ride party that's scheduled to get started sometime after sundown.

Revive your 'Rebel Yell' on Sunday night

With Monday being a holiday for some people, Sunday is becoming an optimal night for parties.

For fans of the '80s, the place to be is Apartm3nt (pronounced “;Apartment 3”;), on the third floor of the Century Center. “;Rebel Yell”; will feature all '80s music all night from DJs Jedi and Logoe, with no cover and free parking all night.

In addition, the lounge will offer $3 drinks and a newly updated food menu that features local and organic ingredients whenever possible. Dinner and bottle service reservations also are available.
