Honolulu fire personnel retrieved the body of a woman from a tidal pool at Kaena Point yesterday.

Hikers reported seeing a body floating in the water against some rocks at about 2:30 p.m. yesterday.

The body was recovered after 3 p.m.

There were no signs of life, fire Capt. Terry Seelig said.

The body was brought to Mokuleia Beach Park, and the case was turned over to police.
