Prescott keeps Govs undefeated

Diana Prescott scored 10 of her 17 points in the second half to lead host Farrington to a 56-45 victory over McKinley last night to remain undefeated in the Oahu Interscholastic Association Red East division.

After a slow start in the first quarter, the Governors seized a three-point halftime lead and pulled away in the second half, outscoring the Tigers 33-25.

Kylie Sato led McKinley with 18 points and Jackie Tihano hit four 3-pointers and finished with 12 points in the loss as the Tigers fell to 1-5 in league play.

Cristen Liana added 10 points and Brydgette Tatupu-Leopoldo added nine for the Govs (6-0).

The Warriors' stingy defense held the Spartans to less than double-digit scoring for all four quarters in their league opener.

Tia Perreira scored 10 points and was one of nine Warriors to score.

Ashley Agcaoili scored a game-high 12 points for Maryknoll, which dropped to 0-2 in league play.
