Veikune done for the season
CLEVELAND » The Cleveland Browns placed rookie linebacker David Veikune on injured reserve yesterday.
Veikune, a second-round draft pick out of Hawaii, has been inactive for five of the past six games. The Browns listed the No. 53 overall pick as out of today's game against Jacksonville on their injury report this week because of a knee injury. The Campbell graduate did not record a tackle in the 10 games he was active this season.
To take Veikune's roster spot, the Browns elevated running back Thomas Brown from the practice squad.
BYUH falls in OT
Anthony Reilly scored 18 points and Lucas Alves added 12 in his season debut for the Brigham Young-Hawaii men's basketball team, but it wasn't enough as the Seasiders (6-3) were upset by Chapman 76-70 in overtime last night at Cannon Activities Center.
Griffin Rammed led the Panthers (11-2) with 25.
