Isle GOP snags Bush's 'architect' for annual Lincoln Day festivities

Former White House adviser Karl Rove is scheduled to be the keynote speaker at the Hawaii Republican Party's Lincoln Day Dinner in February.
Rove, deputy chief of staff and senior political adviser to former President George W. Bush, is a contributor to Fox News and the Wall Street Journal and is known as the “;architect”; of Bush's election victories in 2000 and 2004.
State GOP Chairman Jonah Ka'auwai announced Rove's visit in an e-mailed newsletter to members.
The GOP's Lincoln Day Dinner is set for Feb. 26 at the Hilton Hawaiian Village.
Republican elected officials expected to attend include Gov. Linda Lingle and Lt. Gov. James “;Duke”; Aiona Jr.
