Mikela Thoemmes scored a game-high 35 points to lead undefeated Roosevelt to a 58-31 victory over host Moanalua last night in an Oahu Interscholastic Red East game.

The Rough Riders (3-0) got off to a hot start, outscoring Na Menehune (1-3) 21-4 in the first quarter and 32-11 in the first half.

No Moanalua player reached double digits as Jasmine Funtanilla and Jaidon Rego led the way with eight points apiece.

Na Menehune played without standout Joanna Nicolas, who suffered a knee injury in their OIA opener against Kailua and will be out approximately two to three weeks.

Neither team made a 3-point shot.

The host Knights (3-0) rallied back from an 11-point halftime deficit in a victory over the Tigers (0-3).

Nicole Aberilla was one of four Castle players to score in double figures, leading the way with 14 points. Leisha Liilii, Kailee Awa and Joshell Lilo all had 10 points.

Jackie Tihano hit four 3-pointers and had 14 points to lead the Tigers.
