SAN DIEGO » Three men involved in a brawl that killed a Hawaii-born professional surfer in San Diego two years ago are back in jail for probation violations.
Deputy U.S. Marshal Omar Castillo says Orlando Wright, Matthew Yanke and Eric House were arrested last week. They remained jailed Thursday without bail.
They pleaded guilty last year to involuntary manslaughter in the death of 24-year-old Emery Kauanui Jr.
Authorities say the surfer fell and fatally hit his head after being punched during a scuffle in La Jolla.
Seth Cravens got 20 years for punching him.
Wright, Yanke and House got several hundred days in jail plus probation. Authorities claim they violated probation orders to stay away from the victims' family and one another. Castillo says two also tested positive for drugs.
