'Blue Christmas' services scheduled for those feeling sad

“;Blue Christmas”; services this weekend are planned for people who are experiencing grief, separation or illness in the season of holiday cheer.

Two churches will observe the tradition of holding a reflective service on the longest night of the year, the winter solstice.

» St. Clement's Episcopal Church, 1515 Wilder Ave., will be the scene of a candlelight service of readings and quiet music at 5 p.m. tomorrow.

» St. Andrew's Cathedral, Queen Emma Square, will hold at 5:30 p.m. service Monday for those feeling sadness and turmoil, as well as for people who seek a peaceful respite during the busy season.
