David Havens and Jesse Mueller are tied for the lead in the Hawaii State Open following the opening round at the Turtle Bay Resort yesterday.

Havens and Mueller both fired 6-under 66s to lead by one stroke over Steve Watanabe, who carded a 67.

Kevin Hayashi and amateur Spencer Shishido are tied for fourth place at 68, and PGA Tour pro Dean Wilson is tied for sixth at 69 with amateur David Fink.

Tadd Fujikawa (71) and David Ishii (74) are also competing in the three-day tournament, which continues today with the final round scheduled for tomorrow.
