The state Board of Education has decided to continue the practice of holding its general business meetings on Oahu next year to save money.
Until this year, the board held its twice-monthly meetings at a variety of sites, including on the neighbor islands.
The board will still hold community meetings throughout the state to talk informally with the public about public education and libraries.
The next community meeting is scheduled for tomorrow at Kapalama Elementary School from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Another meeting is scheduled for Aiea Intermediate School on Dec. 22
