Kaneohe Marine killed on motorcycle is ID'd

The 24-year-old Kaneohe Marine who died Tuesday after his motorcycle crashed into a telephone pole and a concrete wall in Kailua has been identified as Sgt. Alex A. Limjoco.

Limjoco was an avionics technician with Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 363, Marine Aircraft Group 24, stationed at Marine Corps Base Hawaii.

Police said Limjoco was traveling away from Kailua town on Oneawa Street near Manono Street at 12:05 a.m. Tuesday when he crashed. Speed may have been a factor, police said.

Boy arrested after girls report sexual contact

Police arrested an 11-year-old boy last week on suspicion of third-degree sexual assault, which usually indicates inappropriate touching, of three female students at their Kalihi school on two different days.

The boy allegedly sexually assaulted three 11-year-old girls at Kalakaua Middle School during school hours.

Police said the boy allegedly had sexual contact with one girl about 8 a.m. Nov. 24. Two more girls, both 11, reported to school authorities that the boy allegedly sexually assaulted them between 8 a.m. and noon Monday.

The girls reported the assaults to school authorities and police arrested the boy Dec. 3.

Man sought in assault of woman, 18, in Ewa

Police are looking for a man who sexually assaulted an 18-year-old woman in Ewa in the early morning on Dec. 3.

The woman told police she was sexually assaulted at 5 a.m. by an unknown man.

No arrest has been made in the case, which has been classified as a first-degree sexual assault.

2 suspects arrested in Waikiki burglary

Police have arrested two suspects in connection with a burglary at a Waikiki apartment last month.

Two men were seen on a video surveillance camera during the Nov. 3 burglary, and officers arrested one of the suspects, who was indicted.

About 2 p.m. Friday, police arrested the second suspect, a 30-year-old man with no local address, on suspicion of first-degree burglary, possession of burglary tools and unauthorized possession of personal information.

Decomposed body found on West Maui beach

A fisherman found a decomposed body about 1:15 a.m. yesterday on a Maui beach between Honolua Bay and Windmill Beach, police said.

Maui police said the victim has not been positively identified. The cause of death is pending an autopsy.
