Question: My friend gave me his dog and I noticed his dog license is about to expire. How do I renew it?

Answer: A current dog license proves legal ownership of your canine companion. Many licenses are due to expire on Dec. 31 and can be renewed at any satellite city hall or at the Humane Society for as little as $10 for spayed or neutered dogs. A license helps the Hawaiian Humane Society return lost dogs to their owners and is valid for two years.
