Imu is back for year-end parties
The Kailua High School baseball program will operate a fundraising imu on Dec. 29, and the public is invited to purchase space in the traditional underground oven to cook holiday food.
Cost is $15 per large aluminum tray. Food — such as whole turkeys or pork butt, sweet potatoes, taro or luau leaves — must be thawed, seasoned and well wrapped in foil. Weight limit is 25 pounds.
Drop-off time is 3 to 4:30 p.m., with pickup from 8 to 9:30 a.m. the following day. The imu will be directly across the AFJROTC building on the high school campus.
Reservations are due by Dec. 23. Make checks payable to Kailua High School and send to the school, 451 Ulumanu Drive, Kailua 96734. Write “;Attention IMU”; in lower left corner of the envelope. Include your name, telephone number and a self-addressed, stamped envelope for a confirmation ticket. For multiple orders, indicate the names of the recipients. Call 728-7389 or 306-3186.
