Man in hospital after collision
A 56-year-old Honolulu man was critically injured yesterday morning when the sport utility vehicle he was driving rear-ended a flatbed truck in Kalihi.
Police said the driver of a 2009 white Toyota RAV4 might have been affected by a medical condition when he struck the white 2000 International flatbed truck, which was stopped in traffic, police said.
The accident occurred at 8:20 a.m. on Laumaka Street between Kaluaopalena Street and Kamehameha Highway.
The SUV was traveling south on Laumaka Street when it hit the truck.

Police asking help to find lost kayaker
Big Island police are asking for the public's help in finding a man whose kayak was found floating empty on Nov. 27.
Police recovered a green kayak floating upside down in waters off the South Kohala coast. They discovered it belong to Jason Winbush, also known as Jason Wilcox, Ken Washington, Ken Wilcox, “;WJ”; and “;JW.”;
Winbush is described as African-American, 6 feet 2 inches tall, about 160 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair worn in dreadlocks, police said. He also has a beard, a mustache and a tattoo on his forehead.
