King, Docherty win XTERRA
Max King and Fiona Docherty won the XTERRA Trail Running World Championship at Kualoa Ranch yesterday.
King won the 12-mile race with a time of 1 hour, 14 minutes, 26 seconds, while Docherty took the women's title with a winning time of 1:30:05.
This was the second XTERRA title in a row for King, while Docherty bested defending champ Cindy Anderson by more than 2 minutes.
More than 1,000 runners took part in the 3.1-mile, 6.2-mile and 12-mile races that benefited the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation of Hawaii.
