Hawaii-Hilo trips Chaminade
Hina Kimitete cored 20 points and Kayce Kirihara added 19 to lead Hawaii-Hilo to a 97-83 women's basketball victory over Chaminade last night at Cannon Activities Center in Laie.
Amanda Muller pulled down nine rebounds for the Vulcans (2-4).
Lynette Dalle had 14 points and 13 rebounds for the Silverswords (0-2). Megan Kamehiro had a team-high 20 points.
» Tiffany Wilson scored 17 points and Jazzmin Awa-Williams added 17 to lead Hawaii Pacific to a 74-63 win over Brigham Young-Hawaii last night in Laie.
Genesis Lewis had 11 points and seven rebounds for the Sea Warriors (2-2).
Richelle Fenenbock scored a game-high 30 points for the Seasiders (1-1) in the loss.
» Tsung-Hsien Chang scored 26 points to power Brigham Young-Hawaii to a 102-67 victory over Oakland City (Ind.) in men's basketball last night at Laie.
Anthony Reilly added 18 points for the Seasiders (2-0).
Jared Manners scored 21 points to lead the Mighty Oaks (2-2).
Na Koa meets tomorrow
Na Koa Football Club holds its weekly luncheon tomorrow at 11 a.m. at The Willows restaurant.
Hawaii football coach Greg McMackin or one of his assistants will talk about last night's 24-17 victory over Navy.
The cost of the luncheon is $15 and the public is invited.
