Isle church presenting green holiday gift ideas

Gifts, foods and projects that are friendly to the environment will be presented at the “;Green Community Fair”; next Saturday at Church of the Crossroads, 1212 University Ave.

Ideas for “;green”; holiday gifts and eco-gift wrapping, craft recycling and T-shirt tie-dying projects will be presented during the event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Green House Sustainable Energy Center will present demonstrations on green cleaning, gardening, composting and worm bins, rainwater catchment and gray-water recycling.

Attendees may bring T-shirts to dye, remake or donate and are asked to bring their own plate, cup, utensils and napkins for a waste-free event.
