» The Honolulu Police Commission broadened the number of candidates for Honolulu police chief to six from four. A Page 11 story yesterday said the selection committee added the additional names. The online edition has been corrected.

» The first name of Karlotta Carvalho, mother of Waika Carvalho, who was killed in a car crash Saturday night, was misspelled in a Page 12 story Monday. The online edition has been corrected.

» The victim of a July 17, 2008, fatal stabbing is transgender female Jaylynn Namauu, whose legal name was Jason Namauu. A Page 12 article Sunday referred to Namauu as a transgender male. The Associated Press Stylebook says transgender individuals should be identified by the way they live publicly. The online edition has been corrected.
