The Situation:

The Play:
QB Bryant Moniz throws to WR Jovonte Taylor on a hitch pattern. Taylor catches the pass, eludes his defender and goes 71 yards for a touchdown.

The Impact:
Combined with Moniz's early TD pass to Kealoha Pilares, Hawaii goes up 14-0, its best start since beating Washington State on Sept. 12.

Taylor:
“;I've been waiting for plays like that since Day 1. I've been waiting to make big plays and today was that day.”;

2. Pack Rally

The Situation:
Hawaii 14, Nevada 14, 0:31 remaining, second quarter, Nevada ball, first and 15 at UH 38.

The Play:
QB Colin Kaepernick keeps and runs for 38 yards and a touchdown to give Nevada the lead.

The Impact:
Nevada's second touchdown in the final 1:48 of the half comes after Mo Harvey's interception of Moniz. With two rushing TDs and two passing, Kaepernick became only the sixth player in Division I history to account for 200 points in each category.

The Play:
Doyle Miller intercepts Moniz's pass in the end zone.

The Impact:
Nevada takes over at its 20. It puts together a five-play drive culminating with a 40-yard touchdown pass play from Kaepernick to Tray Session.

The Situation:

The Play:
After a timeout, the Hawaii field-goal unit takes the field. Scott Enos misses a 42-yard attempt.

The Impact:
Hawaii comes up empty on its seventh consecutive offensive possession. The Warriors piled up 492 yards.

The Play:
Enos kicks off for a Nevada touchback, putting the ball at its 20. But Jordan Gomes is called for being offside and UH is penalized 5 yards and forced to kick again. Enos kicks it out of bounds and Nevada takes over at its own 45.

The Impact:
With the improved field position, Nevada drives to the UH 10 and Ricky Drake kicks a 27-yard FG with 1:18 left, all but putting the game out of reach.
