Small art gets maximum play

With the holiday season looming before us comes the first of the annual art gift exhibits. Second Floor @ Cedar Street Galleries opens “;Matchbox Plus Miniature Art Show”; on Tuesday, featuring works by dozens of local artists. By virtue of their small size, fine art by top artists is available at affordable prices.

The show runs through Dec. 5. Cedar Street Galleries is located at 817 Cedar St. Call 589-1580.

Classes

The Contemporary Museum is offering the first of a two-part holiday Expression Session, geared toward elementary school-age children, at 10:30 a.m. to noon Saturday.
Children will learn how to sculpt Christmas trees and ornaments from clay. Then, on Dec. 5, they will paint and decorate their kiln-fired work.
