Reality TV series looking for cast

Are you ready to make your mark on network TV?

The Los Angeles-based Doron Ofir Casting is helping Berlanti Television (”;Brothers and Sisters,”; “;Dirty Sexy Money,”; “;Eli Stone”;) and 25/7 Productions (”;The Biggest Loser”;) with a search for a group of friends, between 25 to 40 and living on Oahu, to star in a semiscripted docu-series.

“;Oahu Nights”; is the working title, and the office is accepting audition submissions on the Web site http://www.OahuNightsCasting.com. Casting teams will be in Waikiki from Nov. 4 through 24, holding auditions and scouring the island for what the office is calling “;sexy, interesting and outspoken personalities.”;

UH musicians show off facility

The recently refurbished Music Department at the University of Hawaii-Manoa will be shown off to the public on Thursday with, first, an informal tour of the facility beginning at 5:30 p.m. and, later, a concert at Orvis Auditorium at 7:30.

Compositions bow at university

The graduate composers symposium at the University of Hawaii-Manoa's Music Department will feature new works and world premieres at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 12 at Orvis Auditorium.

Rotary Club to hold fundraiser

The Rotary Club of East Honolulu is calling on island pasta lovers to bring their appetites to its annual spaghetti dinner fundraiser from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. tomorrow at Dave & Buster's Sunset Bar.

Tickets, which cost $20 for adults and $10 for kids 10 and under, can be purchased at the door.

The fundraiser will include live jazz music and a silent auction.

Proceeds from the event will be used to fund the club's community service projects.

The club also invites anyone interested in learning more about Rotary to join club members each Monday at noon at the Waialae Country Club.
