YMCA fundraiser marks 50 years

The Windward YMCA will celebrate its 50 years of service with an annual Hallo-Wine scholarship fundraiser. The event is from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Oct. 24 at the Koolau Golf Club Atrium.

The Windward YMCA awards more than $60,000 for local families, children and seniors each year. The scholarship fund is supported by a special night that includes heavy pupus, music, wine tasting and a silent auction. The Hallo-Wine event is in its sixth year.

Hallo-Wine is a costume-optional night out with auction items ranging from airplane tickets to romantic getaways at fabulous island hotels.
