HOME & GARDEN
Isle home redo show premieres
It's interesting watching all those makeover shows about mainland homes, but much better when local families benefit from redos.
Watch two Oahu families — one from Kalihi, the other from Nanakuli — as their homes are transformed in energy-efficient ways in “;Hawai'i Home Energy Makeover,”; premiering on KGMB-9 at 7 p.m. Sunday.
The one-hour special follows a Kalihi family as its electric bill is basically eliminated by using a solar photovoltaic system, while the Nanakuli family sees its electricity bill cut in half.
Best of all, the savings are within reach for Hawaii residents utilizing the great tips.
