Hawaii sailors win event
The Hawaii coed sailing team captured the Stoney Burke Intersectional yesterday in San Francisco.
William Petersen, Tahnee Allman, Zachary Hester, Darla Baldwin and Craig Schifferns sailed for UH in the two-day event.
The Rainbows used a final-day surge to top 22 other teams and win theirs first mainland regatta in two years.
Hawaii golfers sit in 13th
The Hawaii men's golf team shot a 312 in the first round of the Prestige at PGA West yesterday at the Stadium Course. The men are in 13th, trailing leader UCLA by 36 shots.
Sophomore Jared Sawada led UH with a 77.

Fuller is PacWest player of week
Hawaii Pacific freshman Meghan Fuller is the PacWest's soccer player of the week.
Fuller scored four goals in three games and had game-winning shots in victories over Notre Dame de Namur and Academy of Art. The Sea Warriors are 6-3-1 and have won four of their last five matches. Fuller leads the team with seven goals.

» Hawaii Pacific's Quinn Horochuk, the winner of Saturday's women's race at the Hawaii-Hilo Invitational, was picked by the PacWest as the cross country runner of the week.
