Nominations are being sought for next year's University of Hawaii Distinguished Alumni Awards.

The award given by the UH Alumni Association pays tribute to notable alumni who bring high honor to themselves, the community and the University of Hawaii.

Applications must be postmarked by Oct. 30. Winners will be announced in January and honored at the Distinguished Alumni Awards dinner on May 11.

Nominees must be living and meet one of the following minimum criteria:

» Receipt of a degree from one of UH's 10 campuses.

» Completion of 50 percent of his/her educational degree program within the UH system.
