» Colorado junior linebacker B.J. Beatty (Kahuku '06) had seven tackles, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery in a 35-24 loss to West Virginia last Thursday.
» Oregon State's Brandon Hardin (Kamehameha '07) made four tackles and had an interception and linebacker David Paaluhi (Waianae '07) had three tackles in a 28-17 win over Arizona State. Sun Devils senior Shawn Lauvao (Farrington '05) started at left tackle.
» Notre Dame true freshman Manti Te'o (Punahou '09) started and had 10 tackles in a 37-30 overtime win against Washington. Senior defensive end Daniel Teo-Nesheim (Hawaii Prep '05) had two tackles for the Huskies.
» Oregon quarterback Jeremiah Masoli (Saint Louis '06) finished 14-for-18 for 116 yards and a touchdown and rushed for 52 yards and another touchdown as the Ducks won their fourth game in a row with a 52-6 victory over Washington State.
» California senior Tyson Alualu (Saint Louis '05) had four tackles and a sack and Aaron Tipoti (Word of Life '08) also had four tackles in a 30-3 loss to Southern California.
» Claremont-Mudd-Scripps senior Mike Hirokawa ('Iolani '06) caught an 8-yard touchdown pass in a 42-21 loss to Occidental (Calif.) College.
» Santa Rosa (Calif.) junior college linebacker Wesley Ulloa (Punahou '07) had four tackles in a 54-36 win over Mendocino (Calif.) College.
WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL
Sophomore hitter Chanteal Satele (Word of Life '08) was named West Coast Player of the Week Monday after helping the Saint Mary's volleyball team to back-to-back sweeps over host Pepperdine and host Loyola Marymount last week.
Satele had a combined 22 kills and hit .400, as the Gaels swept the Waves and the Lions on the road for the first time in the same season.
Also starting for Saint Mary's (10-3, 2-0 WCC) are junior setter Kapua Kamana'o 'Iolani ('07) and senior middle Megan Burton ('Iolani '06).
» Puget Sound senior libero Leigh Sumida ('Iolani '06) had a match-high 26 digs and cousin Kris Sumida ('Iolani '07) added four digs and two aces in a four-set victory over Whitman (Wash.) University.
» Oregon State senior setter Camilla Ah-Hoy (Kahuku '06) had 50 assists and 19 digs in a five-set victory over Oregon.
» Colgate junior Logan Keala (Kamehameha '07) led the Raiders with 16 digs and 12 kills in a four-set victory over Navy on Friday.
MEN'S SOCCER
» Swarthmore (Pa.) junior Morgan Langley ('Iolani '07) was named the Centennial Conference offensive player of the week on Monday.
Langley, the team's leading scorer with 20 goals, recorded his first career hat trick in a 4-3 win over Gettysburg (Pa). His third goal came on a bicycle kick and was the game-winner in the 89th minute. He leads the conference with 23 points scored.
WOMEN'S GOLF
» UCLA sophomore Stephanie Kono (Punahou '08) finished with a two-day total of 2-under 142 to finish in 20th place at the Mason Rudolph Championship in Franklin, Tenn on Sept. 27.
» Linfield (Ore.) senior Brittany Johnston (Waiakea '06) finished in third place with an 18-over 162 at the Pacific Invitational in Banks, Ore., on Sept. 27.
» New Mexico senior Britney Choy (Leilehua '06) finished in a tie for 35th place at the Windy City Collegiate Championship on Tuesday.
