World champion light flyweight boxer Brian Viloria (26-2, 15 KOs) is back in the gym preparing for his next title defense.
All signs point toward a bout against Omar Nino Romero in December, most likely in the Philippines.
Manager Gary Gittelsohn confirmed yesterday that an offer has been made to Romero and he expects to have a deal finalized this week.
Romero (28-3-1, 11 KOs) handed Viloria the first loss of his professional career by unanimous decision in 2006. He also beat Viloria in a rematch, but the result was changed to a no contest after Romero failed a post-fight drug test.
