Final call to book dinner to help Meals on Wheels

Today's your last chance to reserve a spot to treat yourself to a special, chef-designed dinner while raising money for Lanakila Meals on Wheels. The Good Table, featuring more than 50 restaurants around the island, has diners purchasing tables for Oct. 22 at 6 p.m., when proceeds from dinners served will go toward the nonprofit meal delivery service for seniors.

The event fits into almost every budget, with $120 for a table of four at a casual eatery to $2,500 for six at Alan Wong's Restaurant.

Participating venues include 12th Avenue Grill, 3660 on the Rise, Azul, Big City Diners, BluWater Grill, Bombay India, Brasserie Du Vin, Cafe Laufer, Duke's Waikiki, Elua, Formaggio, Grand Cafe, Gyotaku, Hakone, Hank's Haute Dogs, Hoku's, Indigo, JJ Dolan's, John Dominis, Mac 24/7, Kakaako Kitchen, Roy's, Sansei Seafood, d.k Steakhouse, Side Street Inn, Soul de Cuba, Tango, Tiki's, Town, Twist at Hanohano, Vino, Zaffron and Zippy's.

Lanakila Meals on Wheels, which began with a lunch wagon in Aala Park in 1971, is Hawaii's only islandwide meal provider for seniors.
